What is your primary product or service?
Oilfield engineering and marketing consulting.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
It is what I did for the two oilfield service companies I worked for my whole career until an early retirement package was offered in 2009.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are differentiated by the fact that all of our consultants both eningeering AND marketing worked directly for a oilfield service company or oil company in our careers. On the marketing side we were originally technical people who transitioned to marketing at some point in our career so we know both sides and have solid field experience and industry knowledge.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Currently have an office in Houston and Bryan College/Station.
What type of payments do you accept?
Electronic fund transfer and company checks. We do not accept credit cards.
Which areas do you service?
Primarliy downhole tools, rig systems and some top sides equipment.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Polar Star Consultants is a privately held company owned and operated by James Garner.
